Nextage has been founded in January 2008 by a group of researchers and two companies, Aitek SpA and NICE Srl.

The company mission is to provide professional skills on emerging technologies and disciplines both with its internal competences and its network of innovative R&D SME and public research bodies.

Believing that sustained investment in innovation and R&D by companies is essential in an increasingly competitive global marketplace, Nextage was born to cover the need of R&D activities of SMEs present on ICT and Health areas and to advise on future R&D activity as a strategic tool to improve competitiveness.

The “iPhone Project”, our collection of serious and less serious applications on iPhone is intended as an assessment of two of the most recent, and rapidly evolving, market phenomenon. Those are the Apple App Store and the Facebook Social Network.

The project goal is to develop new applications with an high added value in term of content and usefulness, especially for the wellness and self improvement market. In order to extend our capabilities in this market, the company decided to explore utility and games apps. This also allows us  improve our apps development, deployment strategies, and viral marketing skills.
